51 Silverdale – Warton – Carnforth (LCC Leaflet 9) :
From 9 September 2019 Lancashire County Council will revise the route and timetable. Developed in partnership with Silverdale Parish Council, the revised service will continue to maintain peak time train connections at Silverdale for commuters and the link for students attending Carnforth High School, however the service will then focus on a more standardised 90 minute regular service between Silverdale and Carnforth, to access local amenities, and where greater
choice for onward public transport connections by both bus and train are available.
This will improve the local bus service link between Silverdale and Carnforth through the neighbouring villages of Yealand Redmayne, Yealand Conyers and Warton. Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire Ltd will continue to operate the service on behalf of Lancashire County Council. With regard to the revision of the Leaflet 9 for Service 51, this will be available to passengers in next couple of weeks ready for the changes on Monday, 09/09/2019.
